Course Description
The course is located on some of the best trails in the region. The
terrain is hilly with sustained climbs and single-track descents.
The trail surface varies from hard packed to rocky with some gravel
fire roads. The race loop contains the Supertree then Keyauwee
trails in a counter-clockwise direction. The mileage is
approximately eight crazy miles.

Support
There will be water / sports drink stations after approximately 3
miles and 6 miles. Note, the stations are strategically placed at
the bottom of the two big climbs. “One more for the hill……”
Registration
All the savvy racers register early at www.active.com. All others
can register any time after 7:00am at Woodrun Camp ($5 day of
registration fee). Day of registration ends at 8:30.
All registrations by 3/14/2008 will be guaranteed a tee shirt.
Start Time and Place
The Start is at 9:00am at the Woodrun Camp.
Parking
Race parking is along Woodrun Road. Obviously, the road will need to
remain open for other racers and medical support. Please be patient
and understanding while parking your vehicle; it’s worth it.
Directions to Woodrun Trails
From Troy, NC westward on NC24/27. The entrance is off of NC 24/27
10 miles from the courthouse in Troy. From Albemarle, go 2 miles
past Pee Dee River (Lake Tillery) on NC 24/27. << back to calendar |
